“I have a vision of a healthy society where we are all interdependent and contribute to one another’s growth and happiness. That’s how we were meant to be, we should be. Wellnessence puts us back on that path. Together, all of us at Wellnessence and all those we help are moving towards that society.”

– Dr Rahul Malushte Chief Consultant, Clinical Services

M.D (Hom.), MICR, M.S. (Psychological Counselling), MBA (Hospital Management).
Homoeopathic Consultant, Counsellor. Qualified in: Past Life Regression, Inner Child Healing, Rebirthing Breathwork, Family Constellation Healing, and Telepathic Animal Communication.

When he was in school, Rahul wanted to be a veterinarian. “I loved and lived among animals. So, why not be their doctor?” His father advised him to become a doctor for humans and then he could also treat animals. Rahul followed that advice.

Rahul was very keen on helping the poor and he thought the best way to do that was by being a surgeon. He could use his surgical skills to directly help fellow human beings.

Finally, he became a doctor and he chose Homoeopathy, a discipline and a belief system that was well entrenched in the family. His father used to practise Homoeopathy. Also, it was Homoeopathy that had saved young Rahul from the stranglehold of asthma.

Dr Rahul graduated from Dhondumama Sathe Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune, in 1994 after which he took up the Post-Graduate Course in Principles and Practice of Homoeopathy from the Pune branch of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR), Mumbai.

“ICR was working for charitable causes and it aligned with what I wanted to do. I was very happy when I was offered a post at the first charitable clinic of ICR’s Pune branch even before I completed my course.”

He trained several students when he was working as a physician; something that he was to continue after he started his private practice in 1995.

After clearing the exams for Professional Competency in Homoeopathy at the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) he was granted the prestigious membership of ICR in 2001.

As a member of the Governing Council of Dr M L Dhawale Trust, he was appointed as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of a hospital in Pimpri, near Pune. There he set up systems and procedures for the smooth running of the hospital.

Along the way, Dr Rahul earned a master’s degree in psychological counselling. He wanted to understand human behaviour better in order to help his patients help themselves.

In 2006, he resigned as the CMO and dedicated himself to rural health services. In 2007, as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services and Outreach Programme, he and his colleagues also reached out to more than 25 remote villages, which had no medical facilities. He worked towards setting up a facility dedicated to women and children, as they were most in need of medical care in the rural areas.

After completing his M.D. in Homoeopathy from the University of Mumbai in 2006, he was put in charge of setting up and running a mother-child medico-surgical unit for Dr M L Dhawale Trust in 2008. This was a joint venture with Maharashtra Technical Education Society. He equipped himself better for this task by picking up a Masters in Hospital Management in 2011.

In 2010, he undertook training as a therapist in Past Life Regression. This experience had a profound effect on him and transformed him as a person. “Suddenly, the purpose of my life was very clear to me. I was destined to do a lot more. There was more to healing than what was apparent. And I just had to learn a lot more.” So, over the next few years, he took up further training as a therapist in Inner Child Healing, Rebirthing Breathwork and Family Constellation Healing.

The same year, he joined hands with friend and colleague Dr Tamanna Chellani and expanded his clinic “Healing Touch” to “HEALING TOUCH – Homoeopathy, Wellness & YOU”, the predecessor of Wellnessence.

“During these 20 plus years of learning and teaching, I did not become a surgeon, but set up and managed a medico-surgical unit in an integrated hospital. And, today my patients include animals. So, the child within me is happy!”
